Ok so I know of like maybe one or two big active photography groups. Everything else seems to be dead.

Congratulations! I used to volunteer at an animal shelter, but I fell in love with all the animals, I never wanted people to adopt them because I wanted to keep them all for myself, haha! Hope you're able to deal with it better than I did.
